Is life fun? Is life exciting? Why do we exist? Why we don't have the life that we wanted? Why we can't decide what we gonna do with our life? Can we just stop listen to what other people said? What is your life purpose?
A lot of things scrambled in my head. I will share some my point of view as an adult woman with biological expiration date. That thing made by society and culture based on where i currently live. There are some people that believe breeding is their main life purpose, the only life goal. Yes, everyone have their own purposes about life. And that's okay, but you do you and i do mine.
If life isn't enjoyable, why would you make another life? Do you want your kid to live miserably? When i see married couple without any kids, i am really okay with that. But a lot of people here will see their life as very miserable, very pathetic. In my opinion, if you just want kids, actually you don't have to be marriage to have one. There's a lot of babies thrown away, killed, and many more in orphanage. But in here, most people married in purpose to have kids.
Why a lot of people think like that?? There is a proverb said, that a lot of kids will get you a lot of fortune. Well, maybe the proverb is valid back then. But now?? Err... I don't think so. Some people having kid as an investment. The kid have to return the favor for being raised after they grown up. They have to take care of their parents when they get old. Some others have just because of the cutesy. Maybe another one have due to the pressure from family, society, and culture; some even have beyond logic reasons (in my opinion).
If you married but don't have any kid, then it is THE END OF THE WORLD. This is a giant disaster, YOUR LIFE IS END, there's NO FUTURE for you. Like 'Man, you need to toss her away. She's useless. A woman that can't produce kid is have no value at all'. Some will divorce because they believe that their partner cannot give any kid. And get another partner for marriage, that they hope is more fertile than the one before.
As a married woman for some years and still didn't produce any kid. Almost every person that i met feel pity for me because of that. Heard every person lectures here and there, the tips and tricks, etc. There are a few that do ask, and really understanding. Though some start the lectures right away. I know that some of them have good intentions. But it's not the end of the world, my life isn't miserable because of that. It is my decision for my own life. I have my own considerations about why i am not having kid yet. The considerations that they don't know. Even some people will think it unacceptable.
Actually i don't like kids, children, toddler, whatever. It's known as evil and against nature. I'm not that excited for having kid. But if i am going to have one, i want to prepare the best for my kid. Realizing that my kid is not an investment, or for cutesy, or come because of pressure from others, or deadline of my biological expiration date. I want to be fully ready and prepared. I hope that my kid will have a nice world to live in. Also being a parent is a gigantic commitment and responsibility, so the world will get a good human being. A kid never ask for a life. But once they had, they have to struggle to survive no matter what.
